High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

The remodel looks amazing. Before. I would not even step foot into this location because it looked dank and dirty. They got rid of the old staff as well and finally implemented competent employees. Glad i can return to this location instead of driving 10 minutes to the next one.

A disappointing location to a chain where this seems to be becoming the standard. This location is located near Kings Point (retirement community), so expect to see a much older clientele. My most recent visit, I came with my family on a summer evening, so naturally it was very hot outside. We shut the window at the booth we were seated at, yet the place was very very hot and humid inside, so we asked our waitress if there was any way they could turn on the A/C. She said that this location has always been like this, and there was no way to make it cooler inside. This is a restaurant in Florida, come on! Our waitress didn't seem too enthusiastic about it in a negative way, service isn't exactly the greatest here. Other times I've been here and they tried to up charge me for sour cream! Come on there, it's a condiment. When I've been on the phone with them for takeout, sometimes I'm on hold for over 5 minutes. Needless to say, the servers, or maybe even the managers aren't the greatest. Maybe if they get there remodel and have some real air conditioning installed I come back, until then this location probably won't get my return business in their dining room. Food (C+), Pricing (C), Atmosphere (C-), Service (C-)

Yeah so 90% of the customers were over 65. Granted we were there for an early lunch, but still, it seemed like an old folks home. This just in, children and old people have no verbal filter. The two guys who sat next to us were discussing their recent colonoscopies and the methods they used to clear out their rectums. That said, we went for the "2 for $20" deal and were underwhelmed. Just move along folks, nothing to see here. Price: B- Food: C- Atmosphere: D (unless you are looking for a good senior hangout) Service: A It's Applebees...

This is your typical Applebees's, just with flies and servers that go MIA after they deliver your food. Normally I never eat at any Applebee's, but was dragged to this one by my family. My stomach hates me for allowing it.

Consider I am from Massachusetts first off ok, now with that said I have to say that the Applebees in Florida was much more tasty than up in MASS. The waitress we had was super friendly to us and was on top of getting us new drinks, making sure we had everything we needed. Great place for a decent meal and appetizers!!!

Chain restaurants of what used to be known as the "fern bar" variety are not my thing--too corporate, for one, and their reputation as "batch" restaurants, for another. But when a friend of mine offered to repair something on which I'd struck out at my house, and we had to go to the Home Depot at the corner of Atlantic and Jog to buy a part for it, we found ourselves in the same parking lot as what we call the "King's Point Applebee's." He wanted to try the newly resurrected "N'awlins Skillet," a dish from back in the day, and I was being polite. We ended up having a great time which will sound odd when I reveal that upon settling in at the bar, our bartender promptly informed us that no draft beers were available--the machine was producing foam and little else. Then, the first bottled beer brand I requested was unavailable too, so I settled for a Corona, which poured in a frosty mug, with the requisite lime was delicious. I ordered what turned out to be a really delicious meal: a Jalapeno Lime Shrimp stir fry with fresh chopped tomatoes, zucchini, onion and lots of heat, alongside steamed rice. We munched on chips and salsa, while chatting up the bartender who is able to talk to everyone at the bar easily and simultaneously. Things then took a humorous turn when he lost his captain's key. We all laughed as he tried to open my second Corona without any kind of bottle opener, and finally borrowed one from a passing server. From then on, helping find the lost captain's key became kind of a game. The server's bottle opener wouldn't uncork a wine bottle, and our bartender was getting low on several varietals. So, we tried to help: "Maybe when you went into the kitchen to get our beers," we suggested (did I forget to mention that the under-bar fridge had also broken that day and was not quite down to temperature yet?). "Maybe you left it on the table of the guy you helped get into the wireless network?" We chimed and puzzled and shared our own stories of lost and misplaced things. Finally, he found it above his head on a narrow liqueur shelf in front of the Frangelico. We all cheered. If it were a sporting event we couldn't have been happier, or maybe not even as happy as when he found that captain's key! The mystery solved, couples and friends around the bar melted back into their own private conversations again until, clunk, clunk clunk--in rapid fire succession, appeared drinks around the bar. One lady identified hers as a "Water moccasin" and we all as if we'd known each other forever, raised our glasses and cheered. It tasted like a Starburst--sour and sweet at the same time, kind of fruity, but perfectly delicious after my spicy food. We all thanked him, but our meager thanks could not equal what he'd done. This was the best evening out I've had in quite a long time. We asked the bartender what nights he worked and determined to visit more regularly--one man made us feel more at home in a corporate chain restaurant than I've felt at many locally owned places. His spirit, generosity, and playful spirit made me want to return--and I will.

This place is not bad if you are in a pinch, but I would not go out of my way to visit. Most of the customers are well over 65yo and come from the local retirement complexes. I had lunch here and stuck with a simple burger and the fresh potato chips.

We live in New York and travel to Delray 4 times a year to our condo. We dine at Applebees frequently. Love their pecan crusted salad and bourbon street steak including other items on the menu. All employees & manages are very friendly. We love the place.

This was not a good experience. The waitress was nice enough but didn't check that often. The food itself was sub par, my steak was completely flavorless. My Grandmother's salad had limp and unappealing lettuce. The appetizer of the spinach and artichoke dip tasted more than overly cooked cream of spinach soup with no cheese flavoring at all. In general we would not be returning to the location again.

God awful.... I hate it, but Michael talked me into going.... bad move. I knew better.... It was horrible and every old person is in this place.
